Curate Art & Design Gallery in Sorrento is thrilled to welcome Mornington Peninsula-based artist Benjamin Lydford to our family of wonderful creatives.

Benjamin is a self-taught contemplative artist from Melbourne. With a focus on abstract expressionism, his paintings are mixed mediums, often using acrylic, oil and charcoal.

"I embody a process of editing as I work, layering and problem solving to bring forth organic forms and compositions that often hint toward the human figure.

I enjoy working with a diverse palette of colours and feel especially connected with the earthy colours of the Australian landscape which is prevalent in several of my pieces."

He lives locally on the Mornington Peninsula with his partner and two dogs so if you're wanting work from a local artist, Benjamin's should be high on your list.
