Mitch Miller

"Abstraction takes me on a journey where I examine another side of myself, where I get lost in imagination ~ a dream world of colour and shapes and depth and light."

Mitch is a self-taught artist. Having had an interest in drawing at a young age, Mitch has painted works of realism from a teenager through to his forties. His fifties has seen him step outside his comfort zone to explore the unconstrained elements of the abstract style of painting.

Mitch is currently working with acrylic paints due to the range and flexibility of the medium. He also prefers working on larger stretched canvases which complements his style and allows the viewer to "become immersed in the discovery of their own story".

“Loan me a canvas and I will let down my guard. Loan me a paintbrush and I will reach into my soul. Loan me jars full of colors and I will submerge in a sea of possibilities. Loan me the time and you will see infinite versions of my being re-born.” ~ Efrat Cybulkiewicz
