“Working in oils and acrylics, I paint predominately abstract land and seascapes. My paintings capture the vast array of moods Australia offers such as windswept seas, coastal plains and rugged interiors.”

Stuart is one of Tasmania’s most recognised artists. His work has been well received by the public and the wider arts community, having been recognised by several significant art prizes and commissions.

His work now hangs in both public and private collections throughout Australia and overseas, including Canada, Denmark, Ireland, New Zealand, Singapore, and the USA.

Born in 1968; raised and educated in Tasmania, he holds both a Bachelor's and Masters's Degree. Stuart currently resides with his wife Alison and their three sons Jonty, James and Lachlan in West Hobart, Tasmania.
