Peninsula-Based Australian Realism Painting Artist Jim Stagg Exhibits at Curate Art & Design Gallery Sorrento Mornington Peninsula Victoria

Jim Stagg

"My paintings are highly detailed and time-consuming, often taking months to I am not prolific, although I paint constantly."

Jim was born in England in 1954 and studied at Chelsea School of Art in London.

Becoming a professional artist in 1972, he initially worked as a photorealist and pop artist. However, influenced by the surrealism of Dali and Magritte, his style gradually evolved into a fusion of fantasy and realism.

Jim moved from London to Australia in 1981 and currently resides in Rye on the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria.
